South Fylde Group of Lodges Website

The Fylde Group Lodge of Instruction
No. 65 meets from September to April at the Masonic Hall, Adelaide Street, Blackpool on the second Wednesday of the month and at St Annes Palace on the fourth Monday of the Month (excluding December at St Annes Palace) at 7.30 p.m.

The Lodge extends a warm welcome to all Master Masons to attend with a view to improving their ritual at all levels    -    from those newly raised ..... to Masters of Lodges and Directors of Ceremonies.

The Membership Fee is only £3 per annum and the attendance fee is only 20p per meeting. Dress is casual, but aprons and collars are worn.

At each meeting the Lodge is opened and closed in the three degrees, and a ceremony is worked.  Participants can volunteer (usually at a previous meeting to give time for learning) to take any office, deliver the Working tools, the Charge on Initiation or the Second Tracing Board explanation, or to give Salutations.  The ritual worked is the Emulation ritual, but members are reminded that where this conflicts with the ritual used in their own Lodges, they must not attempt to change their own Lodge ritual.

The Preceptors endeavor to achieve perfection and to demonstrate this at the Annual Festival held in November when a number of the Lectures are worked by the members, for which additional practices are held.  Participants gain a greater understanding of the ritual, and confidence for the time they take office in their Lodge, and not least the ability to take a prompt without being thrown.  They also have a better grasp of the basics than those who have never attended.

If you are interested please attend at the relevant venue on one of the evenings or contact  Norman Prue on 01253 624264 for further information.
